Nauplius Shrimp

It has 4 stages of growth and the nauplii is shifted to the post larvae tanks once it’s in the stage 4 of nauplii (N4). The antennas and body structure of the Nauplii are observed under a microscope before shifting them to the Pl section tanks. The observation would help them determine if the animal was stressed while shifting and at times there might even be bacterial loads on surface of the nauplii. We examine the quality of the nauplii on regular basis to predict the efficiency of our seedling and thus appropriate changes are made to withhold the best quality of seed in the market.

These more advanced stages of shrimp development are hardier and more resilient, making them perfect for stocking your grow-out ponds or tanks. With our PL shrimp, you can be confident in achieving optimal growth and a bountiful harvest.

The post larvae is the final stage of shrimp seedlings in the hatchery phase. It starts after completion of Zoya and misses stages of the seedling and would take approximately around 7 days since egg. We monitor the survival rates on a consistent basis. The use of algae and Artemis bio mass plays a crucial role in the health of the post larvae. The post larvae attains a substantial size in around 20-25 days since egg and is at the stage of PL 10-15 (i.e 10 to 15 days since start of post larvae). Conversion of the seedlings from stage to stage and the moulting of the animal plays a crucial role in its survival. Usually the survival rates range around 40- 50% and this serves as measurement of efficiency for the PL’s. The size also plays a vital in determining its health. We undertake regular testing of the seed in PCR labs to test the animal of any viral infections such as WHHV, EHP, WFS, white gut, etc.
